The inaugural award recognizes and honors the unsung facilities and maintenance management heroes who demonstrate exceptional dedication, skill, and innovation in their field.

Facilities and maintenance technicians are crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of countless organizations. Their tireless efforts across industries often go unnoticed, but they are instrumental in maintaining building and infrastructure functionality and safety.

The FMX Technician of the Year Award spotlights these individuals and celebrates their outstanding contributions. Whether they excel in preventive maintenance, troubleshoot complex issues, implement efficiency improvements, or foster a culture of safety, this award honors their hard work and dedication.

FMX Technician of the Year Award nominations will open April 11, through August 23. Facility managers, colleagues, or anyone familiar with the nominee’s work should submit nominations through the FMX website at https://www.gofmx.com/technician-of-the-year.  Nominees are evaluated on their technical expertise, problem-solving skills, commitment to excellence, and organizational contributions.

An industry expert panel will carefully review all nominations to select the inaugural FMX Technician of the Year. FMX will announce the winner on September 16, 2024. They will receive a custom trophy, recognition across FMX’s platforms and industry networks and publications, free admission to the FMX National Conference, and two nights at the conference hotel.
