Voices of FMX - Shelley Turner

Shelley Turner, Assistant to the Superintendent at Kilgore ISD,  describes how the district implemented the FMX’s facility scheduling module to address critical operational challenges.

The primary motivation for adopting FMX was the imminent completion of new district facilities and the need for a system that could reliably manage their use by staff and community members. Previously, the district relied on a simple Google Calendar that could not prevent double-bookings, causing confusion and requiring Shelley to manually handle all scheduling.

FMX solved this by providing a user-friendly, centralized platform for all scheduling requests. The system’s ease of use was immediately apparent; staff members began using it during their training, and it now allows them to submit and manage their own requests. This change has significantly reduced Shelley’s administrative workload and streamlined the entire facility-use process. Kilgore ISD now has a robust system in place to manage its valuable community assets efficiently.
