About Stan

Stan began his career with Owen Corning in an industrial facility where he worked as an engineer in the maintenance department. He was responsible for the reliability maintenance initiatives which included vibration analysis, infrared and ultrasonic technology, and a robust lubrication program. While studying at the Penn State Altoona campus, he won the Freshman Award and the President Sparks Award.

Following his work for Owens Corning, he was a project manager for an electrical construction company, Roger’s Electric, where he managed multimillion-dollar construction projects for school districts.

Because of his work with school construction projects, he was then hired by the Tuscarora School District to be their Director of Facility Operations and manage their seventeen-million-dollar high school renovation. During his career at the Tuscarora School District, he was responsible for the implementation and development of their maintenance management software systems—he implemented it and developed it to meet the needs of the district.

In 2019, Stan was awarded the Gold Award of Excellence in Facility Operations by the Pennsylvania Association of School Business Officials (PASBO).

Stan retired in October 2019 from the Tuscarora School District and started his own company, Empowered Facilities Management LLC, where he assists school districts with developing their maintenance management software systems.

Stan Morgan lives in south-central Pennsylvania with his wife of 45 years. Outside of the FM world, Stan has also pastored a small rural church for over ten years and is now serving as an associate pastor since his retirement.
